“Not by mightnor by powerbut by My Spirit, says the LORD Almighty!”Zachariah 4:6 |
I spent three weeks this spring speaking to more than 2,000 people in various churches and events. There is an unstoppable hunger for God in Cuba. They need your prayers in these difficult times of change and transition.

ISUM 50th Anniversary |
We are celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Institute for Advanced Ministerial Training and Enrichment across Latin America. Thanks to Pastor Jerry Brooks, his son, Pastor Jon Brooks, and my brother, Dr. Ric Shields (DoorWays) for coming to Havana for this special celebration.
Teaching, Mentoring, Equipping |
Fifty-three pastors and wives came from across the island to study and train in March. It’s the first class we’ve sponsored in the new study center in Havana.
Creating Powerful Relationships |
Here I am hanging out with some of the pastors who came to study in Havana. Spending time outside of a classroom creates powerful, productive friendships that benefit the the work across Cuba.
Reaching the Nations |
We met last month with over 400 colleagues and leaders from across Central America in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. MonaRé and I featured ISUM International and had the privilege of having Dr. Monroe Grams, MonaRe´s father, in the 50th celebration! Pictured are ISUM reps and promoters from across Central America.

The National School of the Bible ConventionEl Salvador |
Last week I was the guest speaker for the National Christian Education Convention. Over 2,000 came for the event which was highlighted by a powerful move of God. El Salvador is in a desperate fight against criminal gangs and terrifying violence. Please pray for the safety and effectiveness of these precious people who are making a difference in their country every day.
We’re headed this week to South America!
“Life in the Spirit” Regional ConventionLa Paz, Bolivia |
This week we’re traveling to La Paz, Bolivia, the world’s highest capital city at nearly 13,000 feet above sea level. This is where MonaRé grew up as an MK and her family ministered for many years.
Churches have grown from a handful of believers in the 1950’s to tens of thousands today. We’ve have been asked to be the speakers for this annual event that involves hundreds of pastors and leaders and thousands of believers.
