Reaching Thousands…One Life at a Time
As Directors of the Latin America Institute for Advanced Ministerial Enrichment (ISUM) the two of us teach in post-graduate intensive leadership seminars about every other month. We coordinate 23 of these month-long seminars in 14 countries every year. While we can’t get to all of them, again this year we’ve participated in these post-graduate study seminars in six countries: Bolivia, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Peru and now in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
This group of 66 pastors, church planters, missionaries, evangelists, and leaders from four countries are in public and personal contact with over 17,000 people every week!Our team of over 125 Latin professors and several missionary couples traverse the continents from Mexico to Argentina. Our goal is to use these month-long encounters to intensively train, inspire, motivate, mentor, and transform men and women into catalysts for deep change through the power of the Gospel in their countries.

We spend months each year living and working among men and women of great potential in many countries. Guatemala is in a time of real social crisis. Violent crime, organized gangs and government corruption are destroying the root of society. Your prayers and support have helped us transfer updated ministry skills and renewed spiritual fervor to meet the growing challenges. Our efforts are multiplied by thousands of lives across multiple countries following each seminar.
The emotional toll of ministering under constant threat and danger in difficult places gives us unusual access to the hearts and minds of those who minister on the front lines.

We keep an aggressive schedule of ministering in churches and events as we travel. This past Sunday we were invited to speak in one of the fastest growing churches in Guatemala. One of our graduates, Rev. Hector Barillas, is the pastor and now a member of our advanced ministerial teaching team. This year his church has exceeded 1,000 in weekly attendance!
